When we talk about The Undertaker, guys, Paul Heyman & The Undertaker | the first thing that comes to mind is “The Deadman’s unmatched legacy”. On the other hand, when Paul Heyman comes to mind, we remember the advocate, the mastermind, the guy who made the careers of Brock Lesnar, Roman Reigns and many more. But do you know that Paul Heyman and Undertaker have a unique connection in WWE history?
During the 1990s, when Undertaker was building his dominance, Paul Heyman was the mastermind of ECW (Extreme Championship Wrestling). At that time, there was a bit of an indirect rivalry between WWE and ECW, and Undertaker’s popularity was so great that Heyman had to motivate his talent as well – “If you want to be legendary, look at The Undertaker.”
Later, when WWE absorbed ECW, Paul Heyman and Undertaker began to interact more in the same locker room. During 2002 and 2003, some of Undertaker’s iconic matches (like vs. Brock Lesnar, inside Hell in a Cell) were directly influenced by Paul Heyman – as Heyman was Lesnar’s advocate at the time. So indirectly, Paul Heyman was scripting the fall and rise of The Deadman’s opponents.

Today, when people call Paul Heyman “The Wise Man” along with Roman Reigns, and Undertaker the “Immortal Legend” of WWE, it becomes easy to understand that these two were two sides of the same coin – one used to destroy in the ring, the other used to play mind games on the mic.
Guys, just think – if ever Paul Heyman had represented Undertaker by becoming his advocate, then perhaps WWE history would have been even more unpredictable!
